S´Illot is a coastal tourist complex that is part of 2 municipalities: Sant Llorenç des Cardassar and Manacor. The border between the two areas in which this population is divided is Ca’n Amer, a stream that flows into the sea.

S’Illot has a residential and hotel area. But, right in the center, there is a huge archaeological site considered one of the most important in Mallorca. The oldest elements date from 2,200 BC, and it existed as a town until the arrival of the Romans in the 2nd century BC. In the place there is an interpretation center that discovers the way of life and customs of the inhabitants of that time.

If you want to walk for a while, you can walk over the bridge that crosses the stream that divides S´Illot, and observe its shipyard with llaüts (native fishing boats in the area), and the views of an islet, or Illot, which is the one that gives name to this fantastic place.

Playa de S’Illot is a quiet beach, totally suitable for families. In its surroundings there are many hotels, bars, shops and restaurants.

For those who enjoy pedaling, S’Illot has a bike path to Sa Coma, to the north, and continues to the center of Porto Cristo, in Manacor.

As important days that are worth enjoying, S’Illot patron saint festivities are held at the end of August and the fireworks that can be seen from the beach are famous.
